The neighborhood had an air of anticipation today as business owners and residents monitored the news to hear just how many protestors were gathering at Grant Park. Earlier in the Spring, it was rumored that the City could expect well over 50,000 people to show up to protest. No wonder everyone was nervous.

Before the march kicked off, the media reported the number of protestors was closer to 3,000. The crowd was led by the Chicago Police and protestors paraded in formation behind them. The crowd extended for about 6 blocks long and it was interesting to see the various types of people that were taking part in the march.
