Bobbin Robin is a spunky, fun-loving, 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix in search of a loving new home. This cutie pie arrived at PAWS Chicago after being found as a stray on the streets of Chicago. This tenacious terrier recently spent a few weeks in a foster home, and made a fantastic addition to the family. Robin is good with most other dogs, and is house-trained and crate-trained.

Clinton, an exuberant 16-week-old Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier puppy, was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control in June. He adores other dogs and humans and melts into a puddle of tail wags and puppy kisses when greeting people! Smart and curious, Clinton is hoping for a family who will take him for lots of walks and enroll him in an obedience class.

Every year, Lollapalooza invades the South Loop and Grant Park, and hordes of concertgoers make thorough use of all the park has to offer. They can be a bit rough on the flora at times, but Lollapalooza gives back - with cash. Since the festival began its tenure in the park back in 2005, theyíve given a chunk of money back to the park district every year through its Parkways Foundation.

West Loop Target store update

The West Loop Target store is set to break ground this month at the corner of Jackson Boulevard and Aberdeen Street, according to Ald. Bob Fioretti. The store is scheduled to open in a year, with its grand opening in July 2012, Fioretti said during a town hall meeting held at the Merit School of Music in the West Loop.
