About time

05/02/2012

When the story broke last weekend that the United Center was considering turning one of its parking lots into a retail and entertainment complex, we were pleasantly surprised.

Back to the blocks

04/18/2012

This week, a judge smacked down efforts by Prairie Blocksí developer to keep control of their property. Thatís bad. However, it appears to have simply been a technicality because the suit had been in his court too long, and he encouraged them to refile their suit again soon.

Here we go again

03/21/2012

Well look at what we have here: An Illinois politician charged with a federal crime. This is sadly (perhaps horrifyingly) not a shock. But what is shocking is that Derrick Smith was re-elected. And not just re-elected, but re-elected by a huge margin.
